General Rules

Teams should be made of 2 to 5 people.

All team members must contribute to the group’s project.

Prizes are non-negotiable.

Reusing code from other projects or hackathons is not allowed.

Teams are not allowed to use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects, as long as such sources are properly given credit or are cited (e.g., a link, name, section title, etc).

Teams must stop hacking once time is up at 4:00 PM PDT on Sunday, 5/27/21.

Participants must submit their projects to Devpost by the specified deadline of 4:30 PM PDT on Sunday, 5/27/21. Plan accordingly.
Teams
Teams can either be “prearranged” or “randomly” assigned.

In the sign-up form participants have the option to fill out whether they “Have A Team” or “Don’t Have A Team” .

If participants filled out the “Don’t Have A Team” form, they will be sent an email with their assigned team by Friday, June 25, 2021 before 5 pm PST.

An email will be sent to all teams with their assigned team name (REMEMBER THIS FOR TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES).

During Team Building activities you will be in your hackathon team (this gives people the chance to better know their teammates).

To work on projects, all teams are responsible for creating video call sessions with their other team members.

Participants can only be part of one team, either “prearranged” or “randomly” assigned, but not both.

If a participant works with two or more teams during the hackathon, they will be automatically disqualified from the event.
